8-Year-Old Nepal Boy Survives Flood Horror After Climbing Trees To Save His Life

Kathmandu: There is devastation everywhere due to Nepal's floods, but in the meantime heart-soothing news has come from Rasuwa. 8-year-old Joyal Dhale, who was trapped in the flood, has finally been reunited with his mother. He saved his life by climbing a tree for two days.

How was the life of an 8-year-old child saved?

When there was a sudden flood on Wednesday morning, Joyal was going to school with his brother in a school van. As soon as the flood of water, mud and stones came, everything started flowing. Joyal ran towards the forest and climbed a tree. He remained stuck there on the tree for several hours. Later the rescue team airlifted him from Rasuwa and took him to the hospital. He has a fracture in his leg and also injuries on his face.

Did the mother feel that both the sons were gone?

28 year old mother Tamang was working as a laborer at home at that time. They heard a loud sound like an earthquake. She ran towards school, which takes 15 minutes every day, but that day everything was over. The school building was completely destroyed, there was only debris all around. Tamang felt that both her sons were buried in the school itself. She kept searching for him like crazy for two days.

On Friday, finally, a miracle happened. Tamang gets a call that Joyal is alive. According to sources, when the mother heard her son's voice on the phone, she started crying bitterly. As soon as she met her son, she hugged him. However, her second son is still missing.

How much devastation has occurred in Nepal?

This flood has become one of the biggest tragedies of Nepal. So far 587 people have died and more than 1900 people are missing. Hundreds of Indians are also not in touch yet. Roads, bridges, schools, everything has been washed away in Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading. Army and police teams are still searching for people in the debris.
